Biography

Sofia Savinelli Advanced Practice Nurse based in French-speaking Switzerland focuses on bridging the gap between research and clinical practice in implementing evidence-based innovations in home care in order to improve quality of care, patient outcomes, and interdisciplinary coordination. She currently works at Geneva Institution for Home Care and Assistance (IMAD), where she applies clinical expertise, research insights, and leadership skills to enhance home care services. In addition, she works as a research assistant at the Chair of Palliative Care Nursing at the Lausanne University Hospital. She has collaborated on projects aimed at improving the experience of people living with life-limiting illnesses, supporting family caregivers of patients dying at home, exploring patient altruism at the end of life, and exploring the decision-making process in advanced care planning and assisted suicide.
