Dr. Kanako Ishida, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Assistant Professor at Rush
University, where she teaches in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program. She is
committed to advancing nurse practitioner education and has a strong
focus on primary
care, preventive health,
and health equity. Dr. Ishida’s academic and scholarly work emphasizes
evidence-based practice, adult wellness, and the integration of national
clinical guidelines into Nurse Practitioner education and clinical
decision-making. She is also actively involved in promoting global
collaboration in NP education, particularly in Japan.
