Abstract

Introduction: The research nurse in Europe currently does not have a precisely defined position, but this concept is being worked on and many enthusiastic people are involved in it.

Objective: To share the established positions of registered nurses between the Czech Republic and Sweden.

Methodology: After two interesting projects implemented within the Nursing Section of the Czech Pediatric Society of the Czech Republic, a very interesting discussion took place between the two institutions, the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague and the Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden. The first meeting of the networking group was attended by multidisciplinary experts including physicians. Communication through a professional platform seems to be the first important step towards success in the future.

Conclusion: The position of the research nurse is becoming increasingly irreplaceable for the needs of implemented research as well as daily clinical practice and translation in the future.
